I wish I was there..... very nice place and to "El veleta" I want to give it another go, without load on the bike but with 18 years more loaded on the legs.

It is one of the best cities in Spain, if you can come to terms with the hot days.

I've neither been at all cities in Spain nor have a clear picture of what counts to qualify as the best.
It is very good. Close to big mountains, to the sea, nice atmosfere, small within byclicle range but not quite a village, the weather is a bit too hot for my taste at times...

As I said before I would not mind spending more time there.

Hi, I'm an mtb rider I'm afraid and not familiar with any roadies. However, if you get yourself down to Dr Bike shop, they have a regular group that heads out. Give them a whirl.
